Days Roll By (day 1829)

When you hang around here
I roll in second gear
Not pushing too fast
Caught in the wind

Days roll by
Into weeks and miles
When your hanging ’round
Baby, let’s roll around

And my parking brake
Is the great escape
City lights and the vista
With music on easy beats

Snake (day 1258)

Snake is curling round and round
And I keep wondering how you sound,
Silent, slither, snake your mind
Nether regions of my spine.

But not here, master, it is not safe.
Your warmth is tingling but cannot stay.
My eyes they roll, they say I prey;
Today I run and snake away.

You are my habit, you are my warmth,
You are the curling round and round.
Little thing that wiles and worms,
I wish more moments just to play.

1254 AM Elliptics (day 1049)

Triangles wrap circles
Around my leftover love making,
Pulling straight edges towards my heart
That I’ve never listened to before.
It’s like waking up to Lennon
Screaming “Can’t buy me love”
At 1251 am.
The half drunk love making hour
Where my triangles morph
Into sloppy elliptics;
A love making spot
My patterns can’t compute.
But that’s just alright,
Because triangles don’t roll
Like elliptics do.
And at 1251 am baby,
Everything’s filthy and groovy.

Pushing (day 730)

I roll around waiting for that shit to hit my head
Spinning relentlessly in this uncomfortable bed
I know not what has passed through this body
Just fumes and discarded waste left now
Memories that don’t lead to filled in blanks
It’s crushing, this deep sadness that spins around
The scribbled out pages of stunted thoughts
I work at pulling out words, but only vowels fall out
Shifting around uneasily like a shy cowboy
Fumbling with vices picked up from long hours
Out on the range with thoughts and dreams
I roll around waiting for that shit to hit my head

Johnny Johnny Say-So (day 673)

Tulip too long
I’ve grown a song
For you, it’s done
And it is long

The day does shine
As we break rhyme
Jesters of mine
We pass the time

Watch as I roll
A simple stroll
One modest toll
Where I dare loll

Aha! You see!
We can not flee
You there and me
So full of glee

No road shall end
No man shall bend
We sew and mend
Don’t dare offend

You see, my guest
With all the rest
Courtly the best
You say I jest?

Not I, I say
On this fine day
I walk and play
It is my way

We walk and sing
And cowbells ring!
Up up we swing
Then down laughing!

Bicycle (day 639)

Your marvelous wheels
That catch a shining glare
Turn all the girls heads
When we roll on by
Summer golden locks
With pink crop tops
Big eyed shades
It’s gelato time
And racing through parks
Jacket flowing wide
Wind in my hair
Big smile on my eyes
Freedom!
Freedom at last!
As we curl past the final gazebo
Home stretch in front
We’ll stop just in time
