Roaming in my old soles,
Shifting with every eye.
Long horns and jet legs:
Spirit and the Darkness.
Long lasting in the dark night,
Some coming in the late sun.
Some forgetting to ever run.
In a bucket of madness
Spitting into all rocks.
Fast asleep on never gone.

Late at Night (day 1183)
I touched her late at night
When my eyes could barely open.
A moment there when I could feel her
Like the awakening suns delight.
She whispered into my ear
With a desire no cloudy thoughts disguised,
And from this moment of light
Creeping through my mind as
Angel dust was carried lightly away,
I touched her, late at night.
My Land | Chapter VII (day 1175)
At night we would all have our tents and sleeping places set and sit around a small campfire. Making too much smoke and light would mean alerting the people we didn’t want to alert. A smart choice.
The coyotes would howl every night. Coyotes and wolves. I hoped they were coyotes at any rate. They never came close though, they were always off in the woods in the distance corralling some innocent prey.
It’s funny thinking about the way nature works without human intervention – naturally this is part of the reason why I chose to head west. In New York ground was ruined most likely forever (or at least scarred) from human’s intervention. There is always a scramble, an urgent scramble to the top, for the most, to accumulate all the wealth, riches, property, land, gold, clothing, food… It’s different understanding the true necessities of life.
The coyotes don’t live with luxuries like leather boots or cutlery or fat bank accounts and they get along just fine. Us humans though, we feel it our duty to posses planet earth and declare it a free for all.
The waste, the abuse, to be entirely honest is there even much beauty to go along with it? I find it hard to believe such transformation of the land is healthy for mother earth.
One thing I enjoy on the trial is the amount of time I have to sit in the saddle and watch the wilderness float on by.

Infinite Night Sky (day 1167)
A night sky that dances from star to star,
That takes my hand down darker paths,
Down the aisle of no-regrets that hover
Close to cavernous regions of no-ones soul.
A night sky that silhouettes ancient trees
Reflecting what little ambiance echoes out
From unsuspectingly glowing eyes.
A night sky that answers my little questions,
Dangerously scattering edges of hidden thoughts
That crawl to me naked [just like a lover].
A night sky that blinks when I blink,
Slowly remembering the far away feeling
That covers patterns and kaleidoscopes
And fills up my dreaming with geometric simplicity.
A night sky that lets our universe open
Into ten-thousand tiny little flashes
Of infinite brilliance, infinite suggestions
Of which tip-toe lightly to the tune of tranquil.
The Moon And Me (day 1141)
I am the grass.
I am the moon at night
As the dew soaks my soul.
I am the tree:
Deep roots.
So close my eyes,
Let the music carry me
Past the littlest leaf
Upon me, the tree.
Let the clouds roll on
As I wish them well.
Let the moon and me
Be the grass and sea.
Little Ones to Sleep at Night (day 1132)
Life shall bless and repeat again,
Love shall pass along.
And with our praise
Little ones shall grow
As poplars bloom in spring.
Like the sun at twilight’s hour
Little ones must lay down to sleep,
Rest their heads and sleep a while
To let wings ruffle down;
Night shall wrestle in.
Forgotten (day 1103)
I know that I didn’t lose my answers
When I stepped off late at night.
When I closed the door and shifted sheets.
When I spoke my prayer dance to the moon.
When I laughed heartily
Allowing my soul to saturate
Every breath you exude.
Because this is my intake
And answers don’t get lost here
Where answers don’t get forgotten.
Smoking Gun Saloon (day 1098)
I was gambling at the Big Gun Saloon.
A lone mescalito biting the fat end,
Lookin’ for a chance.
I gambled often, too often.
A riverboat of floating luck
With legalized six shooters
Yelling my splashing soul goodbye.
I danced with happy Jacks
In a smoking gun saloon.
Ladies with rumpled tushes
Blowin’ kisses on good nights.
Everywhere: adultery in bedackled gems,
Fishnet in blackened stockings,
And a room awaiting cowboy’s boots.
I loved her like a riverman,
Steady and full of piss
Navigating curls running this stream long.
And then she whispered:
“If you ain’t out by noon,
I’ll be throwin’ in yer boots,
Or if you fancy another ride
I’ll be you’re shining star all night.
But either way, it’s been two days
And I ain’t seen you high stack all ride.
So if it’s all the same to you, Sir,
I’ll have mine paid: fair share.
So I can find myself a meal,
I’m hungry and loveless,
Waiting on this ordeal.
Now I trust you, and don’t be puttin on,
This was the deal we made, my trust.
Now do me kind and have it out,
And I’ll be on my way.”
Those were the words I heard sung again
As my splashing soul went out,
And the legalese was spitting up
Lead tipped water kisses into my eyes.
With Dragons (day 1094)
I await
Not anxious
But limber
Excited
Loose in the attitude
A mixed cocktail
On John-John’s patio
And rain
Midsummer night
With dragons
