Arise questions for my soul
How the hell to get off of here?
I left a hole in my deepest thought
Condemned and forced
Into buckets swimming the sea
My Angel sang my song
So I sat down at the closest perch
Hold my hand and dark Mother Earth
I’m not alone, though I’m crying within
How could it be?
How could it be.
Too far away and I’m drowning again
Most of the time
And I love always my song
But it’s getting on
And my soul is still sullen and long
So I’m watching for my forest
To grow and save my demise
And stop reminding me of what went wrong.

Frost (day 1592)
Where are my eyes,
The sad fellows singing heart songs
Along icy Nordic roads
To the beat of thump thump thump –
Hard footsteps to control
As solid Mother Earth
Shuts down her blooming
To awaken the underbelly of life
That slowly crawls in vein-like formations
Through all things
Dead or alive.
Where are my eyes
That I have not let sing
But needlessly fret over wrinkled sheets,
Ignoring the awakening world
In a thin veiled frost,
Laid out as if the spine of her neck
Were strangely tingling
Alerting her of tragedy.
Where are my eyes?
Sweet Battle (day 785)
I had a dream last night
I dreamed that my path
Was paved with gold
Overhanging branches
And lush bushes
Had been all trimmed back
My shins no longer scraped
Against the stinging nettle
My ankles no longer rubbed
Over zealous bushes
The twigs and decaying leaves
Had all be scraped away
Leaving me a path devoid
Of all natures beautiful wiles
Maybe it was a nightmare
Shocking me to become aware
Of our battle against
Sweet Mother Earth
Mother Earth’s Frosted Tongue (day 657)
A path
Littered with needles
Fallen lightly down
In cool winter’s breeze
Glares white
Long blue shadows
Battling footprints
This way and that
Taking me further
Into dreams of thought
With a steady breath
Dancing lightly
On stray beams
Of winter’s enemy
Sunlight, in warmth
Brings me home
Dusted with kisses
From Mother Earth’s
Frosted tongue
Growing Up and Beaming Down (day 656)
And in infinite bouts
Of unfounded glory
With sun shining down
Upon green grass
Where warm arms
Reaching up with love
Take little moments
Like powerful mother earth
Growing amongst
Spring flowers
Into space we call home
Where this is us
This is our all
And here, together
We are at the peak
Of life’s bounty
