Moon And By Sun

I am drained of life
Though calming gray Moon
Shines full into my vision.

My mornings wake
With such vast opportunity
Yet I slouch my way
Into an odyssey;
Blurring noises
From Nature’s highway
Busy outside my open window.

This tea alerts me
It brings my senses
Towards the front of my tongue
So that I can find my voice
Rescued from the deep depths
Of a tortuous night.

And here, upon my tongue
A caress felt within my memory
Time spent in my youth
Unabided,
For Spring spirit in Summer Sun
Reaches no Plymouth too soon,
And this warm milk and honey
Resting on my lips
Shall be enveloped by
Moon and by Sun.

Upon This Spot (day 3039)

Here, my dear
Let us take to rest,
Let us close our eyes and listen
To distant gulls and wind blowing
In the air so clear it’s effervescent
As we lay upon this grass
Freshly cut just so.
I wonder how, in times of y’or,
Two lovers could walk a path
Taking them to a similar clearing
Groundskeeper had made avail.
Or would they wander
Amidst a forest
Criss-crossed with paths
To and From
Neighbours seeking neighbours.
How lucky we are
To share a spot
Sunlight here, so dear.
Your cheek resting so close to mine
Lips so tender here.
Let us take this moment
To talk of what wonders we dare,
To have you lay close in my arms.
Your sun the warmth in my heart
You near, my very cheer.

Madness Passing (day 2919)

Without eyes passing vision
How speaks the mind to soul
Flapping lips and no one cares
Passing judgement uninformed
Mind is lost
Reign supreme
Democracy
Vote for me
Life without a leader
In every spotlight searching
Calmly walk the gangway
Calmly herd a memory
So that digital flips
Can recollect
A madness uninvented.

Madly In Love (day 2897)

I am madly in love with you
I forget what I’ve said
Because every day
Is a new devotion
To the woman you are
The woman you have always been
The woman you hide behind
The woman who scares you.
I wake up each morning
Whispering your name to the Gods
They call back to me
With gentle touches on my lips
And in those moments
Visions of our past
Float to my tongue
And the depths that you penetrate me
Take me sweetly, evenly
Softly towards a new day
That reminds me
Of the gentle harmony
I find myself in
When I watch the happiness spread
Upon your lips in front of me.

Take (day 2736)

This did not grow up as a chemical
We were legs and arms that took too long
But that’s the end of a string
I didn’t bring nor did I sing
But I stood there like sweet nicotine
With salt between my fingertips
That had a history of danger
So take my hand that’s never left
Joking in my Sunday best
Take me on a pleasure ride
Along the hidden tide of your good time
Take me to the ocean rise
With your breasts and lips so sensitive
Catch me in an open book
That reads like the sweet look
You’ve given to me, carrying me
Roads to anywhere that lead me to harmony
For I’m taken here with you
And I’m resting on a rock
In the middle of my thoughts
With you and a dog that took me along
Have you seen what hides in the field
What grows in between, down on the ground
My tidy shoes and a singing guitar
Take me along.

Rounded Rocks (day 2631)

Into a river my thoughts began
Rolling about rounded rocks
Like thunder crashing in the hills
I saw them swim away
Then my eyes began to drift
To the edge in shallow water
Reeds of various lengths abound
Floating happily amidst the mirth
Bubbles emerged from deep within
Darkness shadowed far regions
And to my mind, tranquility
A smile to my lips did return.

The Bane of Fullness (day 2470)

I don’t want to hold onto this enormous feeling.
A Skeptic once said the past isn’t present,
So let us believe that a fullness isn’t real
(A limit we reach where we can no longer give, share, believe),
Let this feeling take us on a tenderness stroll
Like sheer cotton shading giant pillows we lounge upon,
Meandering through ancient streets and wild forests
Where we stop at every third park bench we pass
To sit closely and pretend we’re still consciously speaking
In syllables that reason can understand and explain,
For to me your words speak in gestures only my ears
– And perhaps the dear sweet Cupid who so cleverly pinned us –
Can fully grasp at, mingled so heavily with vibrant lips
My eyes cannot escape being entranced by,
And breath mine hairs can feel so warmly upon
With your gentle yet firm fingers ever so delicately
Squeezing a new pattern into mine palm of eternity.
I want to hold onto you, the back of your neck with softest of curls
As our lips mean to share what we’ve intoned of a feeling,
Forgetting for brief moments our shooting star madness
And living a while longer by the bane of our senses.

Dagger (day 2359)

She sailed away into the sea
Cold as darkness could ever be
In one hand a compass led her on
The other a dagger for those done wrong.

She cursed the air from time to time
Forgetting where she laid her locket
A secret of heart she dared not share
A lover who danced no more.

It happened in darkness, dead of night
When two white doves flew the nest
Softly did the dagger slip
Into the ribs of what dared her on.

Some nights as fever woke her up
Swaying in her seafaring hammock
She saw a vision: reminisce
A Good-by kiss slipped out her lips.

And so in darkness the North Sea Queen
Sail set down for evening dormant
Watched the full moon reflect longing
A name she called no more.

Long Tea (day 1362)

You had never been to London,
Though you worked a crooked game.
You had long lines of a lonely lover,
You were always on my mind.

There were singing birds passing
Sky high to be always better,
You shared thoughts of sweet memories,
You were always on my mind.

Your fingers opulently touched
Every line of each note taken,
Supple lips of secret sensations,
You were always on my mind.

Sweet tea of lemon ginger.
Black jeans with broken leather.
Foreign food and I knew better,
You were always on my mind.
