Garden of a Feast (day 2629)

I found you in a golden garden
One stacked high with perennials
One that flowed with vibrancy
– Spring was settling in.

You found me in the old archives
Ink upon paper written long ago
Notably of some used hardware
None found though plenty had been spared.

Through spells we found each other growing
As tomatoes upon the vine
Spring now Summer in swollen pride
Ripened enough for a feast.

Two by Twelve (day 2577)

We lost you in a barren pit
Two by twelve stretched all around
One by one you took away
Your brace you had so laid
Helping us building here
Stronger set the mark.

We learn to grow just like Tree
Just like vine climbs high
Seed’s all spent and day’s well gone
Fire’s let run to ash.

When we find our sweetened path
A lane between our vein
Our supporting brace for each new tree
Rewinding our just cause
To set away a golden rule
Piercing scream into night.

Snow Fell Calmly (day 2424)

From the depths I held a rope;
Coldest cold, hardest struggle,
Frosted reminder in a window.
A sister I once shared
Secrets every other day.
Shadow reaching to my hand
Take me, take me, take me again,
Spring is coming here once more
Where once snow fell to the floor
Golden brows caressed me
Arcs implying recollection
In a pool: my own reflection,
Looking back I see the signs
Take me, take me, take me again.

Golden Sun (day 2234)

Here I am upon the sea
Where two giants sit and wait
Singing songs to each their wave
In a shimmer upon the breeze
For with each breath they take
Comes a march of many soldiers
Attempting to take away their pleasure
Their big golden orb, the sun
But with each exhale their breath
Sent the suitors off again
Scampering along in madness
To find their legs upon the ground
So the giants sit still pondering
Each cloud that comes along
Wondering if it shall be
Married to the golden sun.

Silhouetted Cacti (day 2172)

I will be the sun dripping
Down legs of golden heroes

I will be the crumbling dirt
Amidst each footstep, counted

I will be the wings soaring
To each ebb and matching flow

I will be the wandering nomad
Caught in effortless migration

I will be the passion building
Spring cannot be stopped

I will be the hours breathing
While a hand rests, exhausted

I will be the knot tied
Alert silhouetted cacti

I will be the red ball
Dipped into old red wine

I will be the front porch song
For each moment you are my anchor.

Golden Iron (day 2148)

Whisper me once silence more
I have a golden iron
Wrack my brain into sweet depths
Let thee mine, forever.
Then why doth evening break again
With no leopards at my back?
I’ve given over each succulent
A tender touch shall remain
For my heart leaps with each raindrop
A flood, or desert storm.

Not Tomorrow (day 2128)

You had a golden hour approaching
I wrote it down into my never ending
Then I sang a song that held each note too long
And dusted off each missing string.

Well and gone was each memory
Tucked into a case, sent off to sea
So my carved music making machine
Led me down the worst wrong street.

Oh you, you, you dug more sand to cover my toes
Coldness that I couldn’t attribute
Soaking bone my today castle
Over sunsets of towards a never end.

Bled My Raindrops (day 2120)

Listen to raindrops fall
I thought I heard to let it go
Sadness in an old song
And my heart is letting go
To me, I’m still beating there
Go back, take the slower track
In a mind of losing me
I called out to a golden eagle
Take me to the sun
Today I ran today I run
Today I found a trail
Through a suffering forest
They call Ancient Wisdom
I led my heart
Through the roots
To place it at a base
Of Old Man Beard and his setting sun
That bled my raindrops dry.
