What Is Blessing?

What is blessing?
What is blossom?
What does hard work
Have to do
With my faith and trust?
How often does govern
Intervene with my magic,
Causing my inner blessing
To be lost in a sea of greed.

For my beacon
And my bacon
Do not get seared
Upon the same boiler.
I am a beacon
Like the sun;
Guiding by virtue,
Blazing in darkness,
Finding strength
Through built upon resistance,
Friction in consciousness,
And letting go
Until I no longer need to grasp.

Sitting here I hear policemen
Waving flags and shaming.
Sitting here I hear lawyers
Convincing me of wrongdoings.
Sitting here I hear government
Enacting laws of oppression.
Sitting here I hear,
And I see busy-ness
Building friction
To work itself into
Hellfire inferno.

From this darkness
Ignites foreverago,
A lost simplicity
Sitting in calm;
A bird singing,
A simple inclination,
Base necessities.
There is luxury in nothingness.
There is excess in freedom flow.
There is grand
In what we havent nurtured:
In an ancient Douglas fir,
In ripples of a frozen river,
In breath of wind,
In depth of a blossoming tulip.
There exists here
The base and carnal glow
Lifting thy vibrational flow.

What is blessing?
Did it come to you wrapped?
Did it accompany you from third to fourth gear?
Did it fly with you in a jet aeroplane?
Was it bought at Louis Vuitton?
Was it rolled up and smoked?
Was it intervened in a safety net,
An involuntary rule?
An orgasm of confusion?
What is blessing?

Starlit Frost

Night holds grace
A wish was ever grown upon
In elegance and composure
Stillness of such starlight.
From cassiopeia to Jupiter
Horizon stretches in silhouette
Basking lay each frosty blade
Of grass now nearing frozen.
Faint rustling of thou distant river
Blends its course with swaying poplars
Amidst comes forth a lone coyote call
Right below Polaris’s mark.

Bedroom Windows (day 3038)

In Summer we wore our open Heart
So carelessly and free
You in your two piece
Dancing in front of me
At night we tore apart the sheets
Like two lovers with an unmarked destiny
And in the hours of early Morning
We drank our love in Wine
Then as Dawn began to wake
Our bedroom windows bled
Like Loons upon a still Lake
Taking flight into Night
One lone call began to shake
Each tendon of each heart that heard
Rippling through Summers past
And into Autumn’s deepest
Darkest moment of deadly sin
Until a frozen heart began
To etch the edges of every row
That trailed the bedroom window
And sent deepness far away
Beyond the walls and down the hall
Closed, and danced no more.

Winter Depths (day 2848)

I found you in the winter depths
Of my forgotten heart, so bare
That lost me in an avalanche
Succumbed to all buried hurt
To slide away and wait.
Then one cold morning
As I sat alone by my fire
Hardly warming my frozen soul
I heard a voice so low
That whispered to me a secret truth
I didn’t want to hear
That finished freezing of my heart
And under I went for good.

-20°C (day 2705)

The thermometer reads -20°C
Just outside the door
I watch sunlight filter through.
Clear skies at such temperatures
Steam from my breath.
The dog still has all his energy
But my fingertips exposed
Rapidly induce the fear of frostbite
Tingling away in an odd sensation
One knows better than to ignore.
The trees cackle at the wind,
No leaves left to protect,
And snow crunches loudly under foot
As one trods across
The slippery, frozen ‘stead.
