Not Spoken

I’m not spoken anymore
Dried in a bottom of dust
Let my soul sing
With fire sparks tonight
Can’t I get along alone
For Coyote whispers
And Dog whispers back.

Forget every song
I’ve written all wrong
Glory and frail,
Perfect and undone
Startling morning sun
My breath: heavy hung
For Coyote whispers
And Dog whispers back.

Empty this bucket
Lost in a sea
Between footsteps
Greeting me
And it’s dark
Close my eyes
To forget
For Coyote whispers
And Dog whispers back.

Another Vision

I want to take on a new vision
One where this doesn’t exist
None of this exists
Everything is different.

I sit here in darkness
A dream room
Slightly out of center
Upon a small patch
Of well used rug
Reminiscing on moments
Of movement
How it integrates
Asking myself what is important
So that I can keep
Peace of mind
Peace in my pipe song.

My mind dances
My soul ignites
My senses tingle
Slight breeze
Upon my naked chest
But my blood remains
Pounding deep within my heart
So that I can hear
Each word I cannot speak.

This is my vision
And it escapes
A misunderstood truth
That was lost
As roads paved their way
Across a land
That was not land to be paved.
How many years lost?
Death of a mind,
Visions forgotten,
Self elapsed,
And me, left alone
Upon each moment of dark
A life vanishes
In preparation
For another to take time
Away from a no-one home
Of another vision.

Then as smoke erupts
Stepping stones
Take their heart
Into a vision
That holds tall grace
Of an ancient spruce
Standing in my heart
So I can be forever
And gone
Un-vision.

Walking

Though skies sit darkly
Reminiscing flatter plains,
I woke to a snowflake
Covering my name
Footsteps hardly criss-crossing
This empty expanse of our lane
So that magic could work
It’s betwickled strings
Into the heart of my sky.

Fever

When you look at me
Like I’m growing thin
Edges of my sloping chin
I walk amidst my fever ghosts
Lost, dark as night.
I feel the crown
Upon my heart
Fuse into my spine
That never woke
A fevered breath
That sounded hoarse as dust.
For when the game
Of morning light
Awakens this lost night
I will address
My dying breath
So delicate an embrace.

So It Came (part XII) (day 3184)

(part XI)

Slowly a great divide
Began to make its way
Into the hearts of the world.
Because Fear had begun
To be passe,
A term spoke about
Only in dark rooms
Behind closed doors,
The divide became known
As Safety.
There were those
Who stood well within
The comfortable walls of Safety’s home
And there were those
That had never
And would never
Be driven by
Fear, Lies, Betrayal,
And false Security.

(part XIII)

Blinded Worship (day 3132)

Worship at the state of alter
For each breath reconciles
Lost wages at the gates of infirm.
And at dawn,
Ghosts shall bowl their syrup
Onto lawns of placid velvet
That feel unusually comfortable
In the absence of relativity.
Here it shall be
That gates no longer shine
For eyes used to the dark;
The gates have blinded

Bed of Roses (day 2904)

I woke into a bed of roses
Alone and bleeding out my heart
Dark glass shattered all around
How would I ever learn?
Slipping over a raincloud
Pouring into my open mouth
Yearning for a graceful death pose
Arched spine my sorrow lover
A road forgotten now
Spitting out a bitter taste
Into howling winds of angry hands
That took away my breath.

Nightly (day 2830)

You sing for me nightly
With your silent tune
Playing on repeat;
My fullest moon.
What sways in the ocean
And lets me cocoon?
What holds out
Your hand for touch?
What holds you to me?
What makes you so shine bright,
Valuably true?
For in you I see me
As I desire to be,
No matter the hardship
Sailing across seas.
And in you I see what
Makes warm ocean air.
But your song after dark sets
Holds me so dear,
Do you hear me responding
Do you hear me so near?

Cello of Darkness (day 2817)

It is hard to escape the sadness that runs down the edges of this window
Soaked and spotted by the dark rains, so.
Even Spider who comes to visit plays a long, slow song
Nearly a single note with a cello of darkness.
How tranquil such existence can be
Back and forth Rocking Chair sits endlessly in solitude
Grayed and white cracks endure long years of neglect
That crumble even the greatness they once held in Master’s hands.
I am looking for something greater,
Something with meaning that enlivens the pale skin
Peering back at me through the long window;
I seek its desires by reaching out towards the sheen
But no enveloping touch returns, no embracing moment of reflection ensues
And all that’s left is a smudge that diverts my deepest intentions
Towards a solitude that knows no name.
You don’t have to remember me to spread your wings so wide,
Though the wind catches better at one’s thoughts when it floats away just so
For it is here that there is no breath anymore.
It has been and perhaps once again shall come again
So it is here that I’ll wait evermore.
