At the Gates (day 2834)

For it was not the forgotten
The lost
Emancipated yet still beyond.
It cried in open grace
As ancient wisdom
Ran down it’s thriving face.
Ritual abided;
Nature presided.
Delicacy tingled
Down worthy veins
And touched what fettered lines
Could only whisper.
There it was;
Sunlight becoming
Brave, luminous, potent,
Crying for all that’s been lost
Yet standing tall
At the gates of judgement.

Bare Hands (day 998)

When my sun rises over East
I sit at my bench and wait
And whisper to my gods in prayer
To bring me all their rain
So that I can find the strength
To hold my head high again
And if my bare hands I shake
That worked the earth for seven long days
Should hold in them a crying shame
Then it shall be for me, forever rain
To wipe away these falling tears
Before my sun sets again
From my bench I sit and wait

Forward [a Smile] (day 920)

I didn’t think I heard you right
Calling my name like a love bird
“Coo. Coo.”
My baited ear; bent.

But your eye, raised brow
Intrigued my senses,
Tingled my nerves, and
Shook my tailored cuff
Into a slow waltz,
A casual saunter.

Dimmed lights
And a smile that pulled
[Gravitational laws of attraction]
Which spit out the cork
And drank straight from the bottle

A blood red moon burned that night
As lovers made their way
Past steaming alleys.
Sleeping sidewalks glistening
In moonlit silence.
Clip-clop street talk with
Romance in a new nights air.

Forward to waking eyes,
Resting pants [still belted]
Carelessly draped over
A wooden powder-blue picket chair,
So tenderly close to that
Matching vanity with a mirror

Murmurs rustling through the sheets
[Down filled comforter]
And a familiar close to home
Written between
Those smiling lips,
But crying a hidden tear.
A soft memory.

Bleeding Bride (day 408)

I watch as your harmony is met with at last
With turmoil not sought, but came none-the-less
You cried for a savior but none did arrive
You laid down and wept then, like a lame bride

But you took care to watch the time
To avoid a recent folly
Out from nowhere did arrive
The winds of a far off land
It was then that crying started
On the spot, in your rags
And all those around you said
Shaking with their heads
There goes a poor maiden’s dream
Unaware as she bled

Endless (day 251)

If we remember the past
Do we fall apart to pieces like the memories?
If we cast our spells upon stones
Will we live more solid?

And as the washing collapses all hope for a stainless past
Cut and cleaned with starch and sunlight
Perhaps the crying wind will repair the damage
Left screaming in the endless plain
Corners shifting with the all knowing eye
Deep within the hidden sky

If we fall down while walking away
Does our blood trail lead us back again?
If we sense the future of all that’s left
Will the past wash away the endless hills?

Should I? (day 76)

I’m crying here late at night
With nothing to lose
No self esteem issues
And no moral blues

I’ve wandered around towns
With games, evermore
Lost in battle mode
Given in to romance

But where is my penance
If I’ll admit to no wrong
Should I be seduced?
Should I be reduced?

Carry these words forth
To an unmanned army
Asleep in the woods
Listless and gay

For they shall know
In all of their wisdom
What then shall be done
And I shall be saved
