Spring and Summer Came (day 3199)

She was a vision
I couldn’t rid my mind
Took a walk around
Saw her everywhere
Made her up a gift
Took it from my heart
Couldn’t find her again
She had deserted me
So I climbed the mountain
Took a great survey
Spoke two words in peace
With my Eagle soul
Clear as day I run
Into the meadow field
Far below my heart
In sweet dew drops
Never rush the heart
She was my very earth
Spring and summer came
Filling me up again.

Solitary Sadness (day 3054)

I am sad
For I have not closed my door,
I have left it open to the world
That climbs and claws
To its desired height.
And my skin has begun to bleed
Where once it was supple
In rash and scale,
Blueberry wine.
I am sad
And my glasses haven’t fit
Since I sat boldly
At the ocean’s edge
Wishing I didn’t feel this pain
And could not see
Ocean’s spray.

Hill (day 2951)

And so I came to the hill
Wrapped in all things
Left here to dry, to weep and cry
To spell out long letters
To those last glimpses of my truth
Who have left the last marks
Ravaging the little beasts
Smoking atop the hill so crested.
And then it began to drip down
Along the side of my being
Gooey globs of scent infused
Suffering that made me stop,
Gaze uncontrollably
At the giant drops of passion,
And remember how far
I still have to go
For I think I have a hill to climb.

Pieces (day 2932)

Do you care if my soul comes in pieces?
A string attached to spine
Rolling around in a messy wash
Of leftover nails and splinters
Gathered here in my left hand
From a botched carpentry project.
I shot straight,
I climbed high,
I read the books on ethics,
And there beyond my grasp was hidden
A melodramatic stretch of time
That scratched itself
Over dusty chalkboards
And caught again my web
String attached to spine.

Line (day 2623)

There’s no line to draw,
Fence to climb,
Curtain to open,
Or purchase to make.
There’s only truth.
There’s what makes truth.
There’s living truth,
Speaking truth,
Believing truth,
And being truth.
There’s you,
And you’re truth.
Should you choose it
You can become it
Since there is no seperation
From one truth to another
Just truth
From you to me.
And that matters.

Shouting Galaxies (day 2612)

Running through a Galaxy
I thought I had left behind
I passed into a memory;
Two trees I had once climbed
With two turtles that each had a name
Who moved at a very slow pace
Two raspberry bushes that bloomed succulent
Sweet touch upon my tongue
Two small sheds that worked singular
One for gardening one for tools
Two stairs that led to a deck
Painted of a calm and subtle brown
Where two doors swung open
Greeting each and every guest
With two arms and a little more
Clambering all about the floor.
Here it was where I heard
A sound ahead of me
And to my dismay I had been away
Dreaming of a place I no longer stayed
Instead I sat, mid transition
From one Galaxy to another
And all about were angry faces
That each began to shout.

Reverie (day 2579)

I fell into a reverie that had me holding on to rainbows I thought had melted away in the rain
But my leaflets floated warily through the sea
And a mountain of opportunity opened up for me with every tree I sow
That embarked rather hastily from the peak that had the view
Though growing rather rapidly was the darkness of dusk
My fingertips lay naked tracing out the fortress in Manitowaning that climbed into a canoe with a paddle and good cheer
Listening to a song she heard floating up from reverie
Then down she plunged the great paddle that took her off upon the lake
And off towards the campfire of what’s after sweet embrace of reverie.

Two by Twelve (day 2577)

We lost you in a barren pit
Two by twelve stretched all around
One by one you took away
Your brace you had so laid
Helping us building here
Stronger set the mark.

We learn to grow just like Tree
Just like vine climbs high
Seed’s all spent and day’s well gone
Fire’s let run to ash.

When we find our sweetened path
A lane between our vein
Our supporting brace for each new tree
Rewinding our just cause
To set away a golden rule
Piercing scream into night.
