Sweet Salty Kisses (day 1509)

I imagine you’re an ocean.
I imagine you’re so full and buoyant
That my hide is held afloat
Through this warm summer night.
I imagine your strong winds
Fill my sails with speed,
Sending my wake into places
I’m not looking behind.
I imagine you’re sweet salty kisses
Touching my lips,
Enlivening me to my breath
Refocusing my attention to the little drops
Left about my goosebump covered skin.

Long Drive (day 1506)

You were a long drive
Along an empty highway
Through Boise, Idaho
At a quarter after 10;
Cool night air flowing in,
Rock music flowing out.
You were coming home tonight
But you’re not coming home tonight.
You are the noisy lily-pond
As stars sing out goodnight.
Long drive rolling home.

Licked Bones (day 1503)

You clawed my earth with your sharpened talons,
Piercing skin and lapping this dripping blood.
I wasn’t a victim, no, I was the victor!
Not a gram spoiling as bones were licked like molasses;
Surviving and thriving. Delving.
Gripping tight, and expecting evermore.

At Sea’s Shore (day 1500)

Wisdom is an empty sea
And I have gone too far.
I lost my rope, my sign, my star
To keep me mind at ease.
But in this dream my mind was free!
Not holding on as tar,
A flow that never was thy scar.
For if the heart pulls back to flee
The soul knows: nevermore,
Which leaves a man in misery –
A fate no soul should score.
So which of you are ready for:
The lad with eyes of mystery,
Or a maiden waiting at sea’s shore?

A Message (day 1498)

A Golden Dragon came as a message from a Ram,
Long horn and carved into a precipice.
Swept away, I emerged from a clear blue lake;
White Stallions waiting to lead me home.
We ran along side the Royal Snow Tiger
Who knew me by name and became my white crested totem,
Whom I sat with until the end.

Floating Home (day 1493)

I am floating as if observing
And not returning home.
I am a ruffling cloud nearing dusk
Upon a serene and hot evening
At the lake smelling like campfire.
I am nonsense trickling off into night
In rattles and clacking,
As lonesome restlessly lays naked
Aside discarded sheets
And a light layer of sweat.

Pandora’s Equinox (day 1488)

On the ni’ of equinox
A solstice be thy summer’s name
Flood my gates with sacred hearts
Soul be in thine orchestra.

And dancers of Pandora’s secrets
Lay thee interests – deeply furrowed,
Upon thy stage for moonlight glow
Which pierces hearts and spares no souls.

A love shall lift thee like a sun!
A love shall unite life into one!
To where all sounds soon taper off
Into night’s celebration: dancing decadence.

Earth (day 1483)

With your heart beat –
Thundering through mountains,
Across crevaces,
Through valleys, full cities
And Oceans so far
An eye cannot see
But know, undoubtly,
That horizon lines
Only trick us
To believe your gravity is
Comprehensible –
My heart beats.
With your ebb and my flow
A unity gathers so strongly
That when left unchecked,
A wobbling and teetering
And quivering begins.
Thus, over this floating mass
Of carbon based matter
Quantum does exist,
Qi is your heart,
And my breath like every other breath
Is a slave to your every
Beck and call.
