Pandora’s Equinox (day 1488)

On the ni’ of equinox
A solstice be thy summer’s name
Flood my gates with sacred hearts
Soul be in thine orchestra.

And dancers of Pandora’s secrets
Lay thee interests – deeply furrowed,
Upon thy stage for moonlight glow
Which pierces hearts and spares no souls.

A love shall lift thee like a sun!
A love shall unite life into one!
To where all sounds soon taper off
Into night’s celebration: dancing decadence.

Cobblestones & Family (day 1454)

Laughing at imaginations that crisply punctuated my effortless circles of family, I crossed the path that led me to inevitability. It was here I sat down tired.
To my dismay, I was greeted by an understanding gesture that pickled my sentence with freshness beyond the cucumber, but all was not lost for I had a scapegoat.

Yet as I spoke my attention was caught, to which I followed down steps towards heavenly waterfalls to meet a pure maiden who took me by the hand and lightly led me across cobblestone walkways towards the utopia I had come to know and love.

So my imagination left me, and I was greeted by a hand of sincerity and kindness which knew my full name and hugged me as I came. I then carried on, for around me was family, and I was the same.

Illusion (day 1438)

Whispers cease to fill the rounds
Your eyes become my cast-off stones
Black serpents are what thoughts become
I have spent my last reason

Tear apart fickle justifications
That purify all your moves
Lasting memories are all I save
Inward voices: my own Hades.

Dance your heart around our fire
Widows weaving, nevermore
I am undone amidst this body
I am not alone in my illusion

Prometheus (day 1437)

Prometheus our heart,
You showed us your soul,
You showed us our folly
In our path: onward, ho!
And for what did reward
Thee heart and thee mind?
Endless prosecution
From our God of all Gods.
Zeus was your torment,
But you were our soul,
Our undying hope.
When we see a child
Hold a fresh picked flower,
When we see a dog with
Its destined companion,
When we see a sun rise
And the ocean flow,
When we see a bird fly
It’s to you who we owe.
Yet here in our busy times
We’re found looking out
Past our new ways,
Our new law,
Our new fashion,
Into eyes of distraction.
And to thee we forget;
Purely unjust in reward.
Until one final bow
My dear Prometheus,
May your sacrifice be for blessings
Upon your soul, mind and health.

Ashram Day 26 (day 1429)

You said your eyes were clear,
I saw dust and wine ruining time.
Lift my hands and call me home,
Living atheist still ain’t easy.
Jesus, transcendent and ominous light,
Lead my heart into a choice;
Moses helped a shepherd’s flight.
You said your eyes were always clear,
I closed my eyes and saw you dear.

Ashhram Day 15 (day 1418)

Gaia woke today, lazily,
Spread her wings in stretch.
She reached and yawned
Until the moon
Came upon her back.
From here she exposed
Her underbelly –
A welcoming of sorts,
To which the joys
Could be heard
Echoing across the land.
And as the dancing
Round and round
Began to reach climax,
Her sister, the sun,
Waved goodnight
Her dress trailing along.
Through the gates,
Past the edge,
Along the well worn path,
Until Gaia’s eyes
Turned a fiery red
And she reclined to bed.

Ashram Day 7 (day 1410)

Hushed whispers echoed through the valley
As muted footsteps swept along ashes,
Detailing a history of sensitive environments
Through the House of Rising Sun.
Father’s eye floated open; another jest,
Another cloudy moment hushed visitors
Welcoming the flash of new life;
A new day.

Captain Black Gun (day 1371)

Never alone he traveled the Seven seas
In sound and perfect harmony
Like wisdom is a memory
Clear blue days were sanctimony.

For our strong Captain whose sea was his own,
We fought together – bonded right strong,
Aligned was his order at once to every cause,
Slave to the Master, Master of us all.

Lost in distances were clear mountain peaks
Of a land no longer home that we’d set off from,
Wives and lovers we’d taken on who
Intently listened for our great song carrying on.

With strength of a thousand men strong
Our ship broke mooring, the voyage was on.
All hands on deck looked forward, ho!
Minds focused intently on journey begun.

Land became imagination that coo’d our souls
Quietly to sleep, rocking to and fro.
To every morning, as we woke to clear day,
Cheap sailors rations to make us row.

Night to day and dark to dawn,
Feign attempts at moving on.
A sailors dream but lasts two days,
Quickly blown and torn away.

It’s here where brotherhood arises,
Amidst thick fog and setting horizons;
A common quest, through all disguises,
Men! Heave-ho! Booty and prizes!

Aye! To think the lot a mere bunch of sailors?
Ruddy men dancing with nightly fancies!
Whence stopped at port, may the best man win!
Captain Black Gun and his notorious escort.

Tis’ not all easy for the roughest of men
Amidst all deceit lives honesty then,
A Pirate’s code delivered in blood
Rests all accused deep below their judgment plank.

And as time comes for setting on,
Morning awaits, mooring long gone,
For silently creaking we steal away
Locked in our treaty of the great Pirate code.

Off again then, land locked lovers lament,
Open sea and sweet smelling air.
All becomes lost, save the fresh smell
Of a clear sunny day and wind in our hair.

So whenever you hear tell of a sailor’s ship
Sailing through the Seven seas at a magnificent clip,
Think to yourself of Captain Black Gun
And the legend that carries the Pirate code strong.
